I bought this guitar in 1981 when I was left some money, travelling to Shaftesbury Avenue in London. I’d never heard of Washburn, but I decided it looked different and I liked it. £110 made it mine. I installed a DiMarzio bug pickup and bought a bullet-proof plastic case for it. We then gigged together for twenty years, needing two partial refrets and new tuners. The case did its job, though, and the Washburn is in fine shape for its age. Currently has a MiSi pickup installed, and the neck fits like an old glove.
